About Me

I grew up in a cycling family.  I spent much of my childhood on the back of a tandem, envious of those families who packed up their minivans for week-long excursions to the beach.  I wanted to feel the sand between my toes.  I packed my swimsuit every bike trip we took and spent my time on the bike dreaming of getting in the hotel pool when we got back.

Looking back I appreciate these trips we took, my time on the bike seeing the country.  I remember pausing to take pictures of a flower, mountain or even a grouping of road signs while my dad stood behind his camera, sometimes crouched in goofy positions and looking upside down through the viewfinder to get that perfect perspective.  I wouldn’t trade those trips for anything.  In those times, I learned to appreciate many things that have shaped me into who I am today.  Among those, travel, photography and exercise are all things that are still extremely important to me.

I love traveling and photographing my journeys.  I love discovering new little restaurants and shops and going on beautiful hikes.  I also love photographing families and special memories.  Those things shape us into who we are as adults and I think that’s important to remember.

This is my collection of adventures, my daily life and also my quest to follow my heart in photographing families and giving them memories they can hold onto.

I hope you enjoy.
